But before you do, I'd like you to know that I've taken a slightly different approach to comments on the blog.
Comments are tricky, I've noticed. You want them very much when the project is young and desperate. But they seem to be really quite difficult for those who have built a strong readership, for too many reasons to name here.
I think the idea of comments is fundamentally good, but they need to be done better.
I might write a post, at some point, about what I've realised is the trouble with comments. But for now, I'd just like to offer you something I think is better.
If we're going to mingle digitally, regarding the blog, let's do it properly.
